About my approach

You've done everything "right"—built a career, advanced through the ranks, provided for your family. But somewhere along the way, work stopped being sustainable. Maybe it's burnout that won't lift no matter how much you rest. Maybe it's a toxic workplace that's eroding your sense of self. Maybe you're questioning whether this is really what you want to be doing for the next 20 years.

You're not broken. You're at a crossroads.

I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who understands workplace trauma, professional burnout, and career transitions—not just from clinical training, but from lived experience.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in labour relations on the union side. I sat with workers navigating discrimination, hostile terminations, and toxic work environments. I saw firsthand how workplace injustice affects every aspect of life—your confidence, your relationships, your sense of who you are.

Today, I work as a learning strategist at a university supporting students experiencing overwhelm and burnout. This keeps me grounded in the real-world challenges of navigating demanding systems while managing stress and capacity.

I've also navigated major career transitions myself—from labour advocacy to higher education to psychotherapy. As a 44-year-old father, I've lived through the mid-career questions, identity shifts, and pressures many of my clients face. This isn't just clinical knowledge—it's lived understanding.
